Every Indian should understand before Studying, Criticizing, Evaluating, Assessing or Teaching Indian Literature

This is an important subject that every Indian should understand before studying, criticizing, evaluating, assessing or teaching Indian literature.

We in India have thousands of literature written by thousands of Rushies, in thousands of subjects for the last many thousands of years.

Why so many literature ? The answer is simple; one man cannot give all the information/ knowledge needed for the human beings, in one book and during a certain period of history. The need, interest and passion of human beings are multifacial. Depending upon the Intellectual, Academic, Social, Psychological, Economical…. background of each individual, his interest may vary.

Thus the life messages can be taught depending upon their intellectual caliber for which five steps are designed by ancient Indian Rushies. You should also teach these messages in that order to your colleagues and family members

Lowest first level is the puraanic level in which messages are conveyed through stories which may be of historical importance or may be non historical. This is the commonmen’s level

Slightly upper second level is through Mahabhaaratha through which pure stories are given and experiences of Pandavas, Kouravas and many who stood with them or against them are also given. This is our level which higher than common men’s level.

Upper third level is Valmeeki Ramayana level where stories are absent and only the experiences of all those who are related with Rama are given to make us understand that if we live like them, we will also get the experience like what they face in their life. This is a higher level of enlightening souls.

The fourth level is giving direct messages through Vedas without telling any stories or experiences of any individuals. Here the level is very high where one should analyze the messages and implement them in life. This is the level of Vedic scholars

The fifth level is the level of understanding the absolute truth in the life. The fact, truth and essence of the life, mind, sensory organs and so on through the Upanishads. This is the level of Sanakaracharya, Ramana Maharshi, Ramakrishna Paramahansa and so on

When we reach the fifth level, all the preceding levels need not be discarded. All the literature can be used for teaching others about the absolute truths, facts and essence of life and all vyavahara of our life.
